Pattern is attractive but this is not linen fabric - the ‘blend’ means it feels stiff, shiny and artificial and not at all suitable as a cushion cover for inside couch use.

When I first developed these cushion covers, my vision was exactly what you describe — large, beautiful covers in pure linen, showcasing the artwork almost like a canvas within a living room space. However, after extensive research, due diligence, and consultation with textile manufacturers, I learned that 100% linen is not well suited to high-quality, detailed, double-sided digital printing. Linen’s natural flax fibres are porous and uneven, which can cause ink to absorb unpredictably, leading to reduced colour vibrancy and loss of fine detail over time.
It is possible to find pure linen cushion covers with printed designs, but these are typically produced using screen printing, where designs are applied to linen yardage *before* the fabric is cut and sewn. This method generally limits colour range and design detail, requires bulk production, and results in significantly higher costs. Custom designs of the size and complexity you’ve purchased, produced in pure linen using these methods, would usually cost considerably more and are not operationally suitable for the print-on-demand service I provide.
For this reason, a polyester component is added to create a smoother, more stable surface for the artwork to reproduce cleanly on both sides, improve durability, and offer a degree of stain resistance for everyday living.
Because of this considered decision, the fabric is described on my website as a **linen blend**, though I understand that the tactile feel may differ from what some customers expect when they hear the word “linen.”
You may also find that washing the cover helps soften the fabric, as many customers notice it relaxes with laundering and use.
Some customers enjoy styling these cushions as feature or statement pieces, pairing them with plain, soft pure-linen cushions for everyday comfort, allowing the artwork to be enjoyed as a visual focal point.
