The MV Narrabeen first entered service on 5 May 1984 and, at barely 40 years old, had many years left to give. Following strong public opposition to her withdrawal — and a groundswell of community voices demanding common sense — she was proudly restored to Sydney Harbour, proving once again that heritage matters and people power works.
