The Manly Harbour Pool opened in 1931 and quickly became one of the Northern Beaches’ most popular swimming destinations.

Located beside Manly Wharf, the pool provided sheltered harbour swimming and a lively promenade where families gathered throughout the summer months.

Diving pontoons, boardwalk seating and views across Manly Cove created a vibrant social atmosphere that defined seaside life during the pre-war decades.

Although the structure was destroyed during the Sygna storm of 1974, the Harbour Pool remains one of Manly’s most remembered coastal landmarks.
