Restored & Reimagined Heritage Art Print
Step back into the Manly of the 1950s and 60s, when the Corso was the social heart of the Northern Beaches.
Inspired by original historic photographs, this artwork brings colour, warmth and nostalgia to one of Australia's most loved seaside destinations. The scene captures a time when milk bars, cafés, chemists and local businesses lined the boulevard, classic cars cruised beneath the Norfolk Island palms, and the Corso was as much a meeting place as it was a destination.
Part of the Lost Manly Historic Restored & Reimagined Series, this artwork blends historical authenticity with artistic interpretation to celebrate the places, memories and community spirit that shaped Manly.
Perfect for former Manly locals, Northern Beaches families, beach houses, offices, and anyone who carries a little piece of Manly in their heart.
The History Behind the Artwork
This artwork is based on original historic photographs of Manly Corso from the mid-twentieth century.
Using archival reference material, historical research and digital restoration techniques, the original scene has been carefully restored and artistically reimagined while preserving the character, architecture and atmosphere of the era.
Particular care has been taken to honour the original streetscape and preserve the character of the era, creating an artwork that celebrates the Manly many remember and love.
Part of the Lost Manly Heritage Collection, each artwork in the Historic Restored & Reimagined Series draws upon genuine historical imagery to bring the stories and streetscapes of old Manly to life for a new generation.
